This looks very suspicious to me. None of the links to the homepage are in the same domain as steam/valve and one of them links to a freely hosted page I believe. I'd say this is another account stealing technique

EDIT: Definitely an account stealing technique, Connection is spelt Connexion on the sign-up page and after you "sign up" they want your steam id and password for "security reasons"

After looking into this a bit, I think there's a good chance it might have been this guy who jacked his accunt. He was last online around the same time as Dallas and it's his only friend.

Almost like a literal phrase. Similar to "kicking someone when they're down." It seemed like you were being mean to Dal when something bad happened to him. (The account being hacked (injury) and then you picking on him (insult)).

The site looks incredibly legit, you can even surf around on the links at the top of the page but the web address in the address bar never changes no matter what link you go to. Thats really the only way to tell its fake as far as I can see, very well done.

My buddy got duped by a site like this a couple of years ago but it was through ebay and he was buying a computer. When he went to pay with his card he was redirected(most likely by a bunk link) to a site that looked exactly like paypal or whatever the shipper said he was using and he lost $1600.

Stuff like that is pretty shitty since you can't really install a program to protect you from scams like that. So you gotta just use your nogin to tell you its sketchy, which isn't always that apparent.

Actually if you really look at it we were all a bit stupid in believing this:

1. Valve would advertise a touney on those infernal popups they call "updates"
2. There were several spelling a grammatical errors on that page
3. The web address contains a uni.cc. Apparently that is a free domain forwarding service address, something Valve wouldnt need to use.
