Yeah my point that I was trying to make (although it was probably off) was why someone who conveniently "used" the university to promote his maps and his servers had no bitching with any threads until an introduction thread was mad that was "tasteless " or some other bullshit. Just kind of got under my skin because he didn't bitch about the porn threads or anything else, but yet when someone he doesn't like posts an introduction thread and gets insults thrown at him I see it as complete bullshit. This person just finally takes an interest in the university suddenly and acts like he is a sudden important part of it. Well deathmatch for me is getting lame and I'm probably going to stick with pubbing. And if people want help feel free to refer them to me or not, I'll still gladly help anybody who once it, but I'm probably going to quti posting on here because everything seems to be going downhill.

And this is my conscious thought thread or whatever you want to call it.

I'd really laugh if it got locked. That would be pretty damn hilarious.

First of all, one of the goals of the site is to be a place where mappers and server admins can come and promote their stuff, without fear of reprimand (unlike other places). How can you say he is "using" dmu when he is doing exactly what the site intends and staying clearly within our advertising policy?

Second, he requested the thread be removed. Was it?

The thread was not locked to personally prevent you from responding. In fact, I tried to let the thread run it's course as much as possibly before acting, but the negativity continued. Threads that have been locked so far are very very few and clearly contain blatant attacks on other players. I deleted the flames because they were outside the forum guidelines, how can you reprimand someone for commenting on posts you may not have even seen?

I don't see the site as going downhill, it is just getting more traffic and with that comes more conflict. Rest assured that if it continues the way it has started, action will be taken.

Really, there is no need for you to leave. Everybody has people they don't get along with here, it's just the nature of life.

Sorry WT. I guess after looking back at what you said I probably won't leave. I will just try to better the quality of my own posts and try to prevent myself from making things worse. I'm sorry about the way I acted and tried to find a fault with someone else because I felt like they were faulting another good player for a crappy reason. I apologize.
