Certain parties were holding HL2DMU and the community at large responsible for the actions you and a few others took. While I don't agree with this, the thread was also generating a lot of negativity. I'll try to hit you up on friends for full explanation.

Thanks for being cool about it. If anyone else has any questions about this, hit me up by PM so I can give you my take.

Thanks,

I'm not sure I agree with the deletion, lock the thread maybe, but deletion? Meh.

Valve has every right to moderate their forums as they see fit. But to join this forum in what seemed to me to be an attempt to shame the community et al, well that's a glaring example of hubris.

I hope that example was an individual choice rather than a representation of the corporate culture at Valve.

any post about a ban, about a thread being locked, will be banned, They are simply following the rules set forth on the steam forums. Yes tf2 forums are worse but when 10 new post go up every 5 seconds it's hard to contain.

In fact we are lucky that they haven't locked deleted any thread with the U's address because thats against the rules sorta

What started as a running joke got out of hand. Everybody has to understand, HL2DMU is here for a reason. Being seen as an attacker on their forums is not part of the big picture for us.

Again, I really appreciate everybody being understanding about this matter.

Buck up little trooper! You didn't make an ass of the community et al... you just made an ass of yourself!

Happens to lots of us from time to time on this innerweb thingy.
