So I was spectating today...

...And I saw someone zoom in real quick with the mag. It definitely looked different than suit zoom --
no black on the edges of the screen, quick zoom in/out. Is this a bug that's part of spectate
mode, or is someone using an exploit of some type to zoom the mag, like xbow?
Any ideas?

theres a file you can use to get rid of the back circle on the outside, also you can set cvars that will change the speed of the zoom in and zoom out. I don't have the files and I don't know the cvars, but I do know they exist, maybe someone else could link or provide them.

if u spectate someone and they zoom the black out edges will not appear so its not a expolit u just don't see the black window zoom with spectate

lol well its true, tw1tch showed me it one time, I forget the server it was some old school one where when you joined you could actually download them. Iirc they also had loud footsteps and a few other not so legitimate files as well.

Yup... but you can also remove the black overlays as mentioned (and as shown on blas' pics haha).
Didn't know about the commands though o.0 Is that true?

Thx Blas, I was thinking OFC but wasnt sure didnt want to mention someone if it wasn't a sure thing.

@ Onti yes its true, but the more I thought about it I believe its a edit in the GCF, similar to the way you can outline your crosshair.
