Zoom

Got 2 questions.
1) I have seen people modifying the zoom, I mean, taking out the black parts, etc.
How can I do that?
2) Is that allowed in leagues?

hey conflict, while we're on this topic, when i watched ur demo it looks like you play with a different FOV (idk if thats the hl2 term, but thats what it was back in the unr days) i tried changing mine, but didnt have any luck... i've increased my resolution, but it still seems like your able to fit more on ur screen.

he might have changed the FOV while recording because you need sv_cheats on to do it

Even though i did it , it wouldn't be that useful to me, since I rarely ever use the mag zoom. I prefer practicing aim without zooming. I just use it when im in incredibly big killboxes, and we are back to the same, im rarely ever on a killbox map xD.
I was asking to know and expand my game knowledge, but seems the question wasn't very accepted .

maybe im just really high, but i dont seem to remember any black parts? when i suit zoom i get a different crosshair, and my FOV magnifies... no black parts.

he's talking about when you zoom in, you sorta get tunnel vision and there's a ring of black that closes in. It's sorta simulating a scope.
