My mouse is lagging on desktop. It still moves because when i move it to the bottom bar. I see that it says what the window is, but the cursor doesn't follow.

I was talking about discussing mice, what settings you use etc. This is a specific problem.

I have a mx518. What other info do you need?

Have you overclocked the USB port?
Is the porcessor usage high?
you using the mouse drivers?

I've had this happen before with one of my previous mx 518's. Can't say exactly what caused it or what fixed it but all I can suggest is that you switch usb ports, reboot and uninstall/reinstall setpoint if your using it. If that doesn't stop it then get another mouse to see if its mouse or OS problem. If another mouse does it then you may want to reformat your hdd and start with a clean install of xp.

how old is the computer and when was the last time u reformatted. If all else fails reformat.
