Angel Cop
Vampire Hunter D
Gogol 13
Battle Angel
DemonMan 1 and 2
Akira
Dark City
The greatest Manga of all: Ninja Scroll!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angel Cop is EPIC!
Gogol 13 is awesome and highly stylized.

Cowboy Bebop??~!?
that is some weak shit.

Cowboy Bebop is actually quite decent.
My favorite series are usually more fucked up though.
Death Note and Elfen Lied are my recommends.
I've watched quite a bit. If you want a fucked up trip like no other Paranoia Agent would be a good series for that. In Giant Robots I would have to say Gundam 00 takes the cake.

I have a bunch of series that I have watched.. I still remain that two that are definite must see's are Death Note and Elfen Lied.

I think we are discussing two different things. When you said Manga, i thought you meant real High Quality Modern Japanese animation and not the kind of old cheap and/or Korean stuff that all have the annoying little boy who blows bubbles and the wide eyed girl with no nose.

Ninja Scroll is hands down the finest most exciting manga and i have watched it all.

I mean the full length film, not the Ghost in the Shell type series, which is also crap.

Any of the films i mentioned destroys Cowboy Bebop and Death Note.

Now, now. The reason I started this thread was to discuss and exchange series to watch.

I'll check the ones you mentioned out since you peaked my curiosity.
I only mentioned those since they were the ones that I watched the most recently and I personally thought were actually worth the full time I spent watching them. And for the record, the Animation on both of the series I recommend is top notch.

Unfortunately I don't have that much in the way of Manga that I have read but I'm getting there.

EDIT:
Oh yeah... I forgot something.. I know that films kick the ass of any episodic series. ^__^;;

one other word of caution, don't watch the death note movies.

The movies didn't fail as badly as other live action anime movies have. Its still pretty fail.

In no particular order:

Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Ninja Scroll
Armitage 1/2/3
Samurai 7
Princess Mononoke
Elfin Lied
Ghost in the Shell (Movies & Series)
s-CRY-ed
Demon City Shinjuku
Record of Lodoss War

Vampire Hunter D (both) are the full-length standouts here, with Ninja Scroll coming a close second.

Samurai 7 is by far the best series- GITS is strong too, but is inconclusive and doesnt compare to Samurai's epic-style presentation.

Plenty missing, im sure- i cant recall much of the mediocre anime ive watched (s-CRY-ed and Lodoss are mediocre, but memorable)- and i didnt bother listing hentai as it tends not to have a cohesive story or plot, and provided its well-drawn / voice acted and uncensored, one film is generally as good as the next.

I miss the old school Nick shows too.. All the game shows too.

Avatar was the only thing I really liked recently.
