This is a good release I notice it is more responsive then the previous version which seemed slow to me. If you currently have Firefox upgrade now.

Lemme see.

Puter at home, 2 lappys at home, lappy at work, desktop at work, 4 virtual machines.

That brings my total up to 9 puters.

Get to work guys!

Here's a tip to speed-up your Firefox (any version and OS).

Open 'about:config'

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” a “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to a value of about 30. This will increase the request that Firefox makes to a site, be aware of your bandwith for other computers using the same connection.

Right click where ever you want to and choose “New -> Integer”. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and then set it “0”.

gg :)

Wow, what a difference. That last one is supposed to be a string? And not an integer?

I don't understand. Where is this config?

type without quotes: "about:config"

in the address bar and press enter.

Then you see all of the configurable options

Ladies and gents, I'm too stupid and lazy to research Firefox. Please tell me what the benefits are versus using any other web browser and I would love to help!

FF3 + My config + NoScript (addon) + AdBlock = win.

;D

Spell check in all fields so you don't have to look like an idiot is what does it for me. Other then that I find IE to be fine or better in most areas. Also FF is somewhat less likely to be a security risk.

All my extensions seem to be compatible with FF3:

Addblock Plus (with Filterset.G Updater)
DownThemAll!
FireGestures
NoScript
PDF Download
Session Manager

The jump to FF3 wasn't scary since I've had stability problems with FF2 lately. Maybe this solves it even.

Sorry Keeper, I'm not 100% sure. I used to do it with an Spanish version of Firefox, and I had to set it as a whole new command, totally new; command and value. Idk if you know what I mean.

I tried "String" in an English (British) Firefox and it said "String", I clicked there and seemed to be ok.

Tell me what you did.

I found this on the web:
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
String is text. I think it's looking for a number here. I'm going to change it to integer->0

Sorry >_<

I'm going to edit it :)

Thank you, Keeper.

I have my maxrequests set at 100. Not sure why, just read it in a book.
