according to the book of Revelation,the anti-christ will be a man in his 40's of MUSLIM descent who will come out of no where,decieve the nations with persuasive language & has a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.the prophecie says that people will flock 2 him & he will promise false hope and world peace, & when he is in power will destroy everything.the revelation says the beast will be allowed 2 have authority approximly 42 months (in ch 13) thats almost 4 yr prez term.& hmm next apocolypse is 2012? wierd?

You can actually recreate a miniature version of the apocalypse in your microwave with half a dozen unshelled eggs and 2 minutes time.
Then when the real apocalypse comes, while everyone else is milling around screaming, youll be like "lol bitches, ive seen this shit before". Nothing like a bit of experience to own up the noobs!
not to start any arguments but the bible also has stories of guys jumping into the mouths of wales. unless you find an exact quote from scripture that could clearly be more unlikely than it already sounds

Oh man ... where to begin.
The entire prophecy was originally given in Daniel.
The entire length of time is 2300 days but more specifically the little horn of power is given rule for 1260 days. ( during the last portion of the 2300 days )
the 42 months is 1260 days correct? ( remember jewish calendar is 30 months to a day ).
In the Bible, a day in prophecy is a year to us: Numbers 14:34 "After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise."
After these 1260 years, Revelation says that Jesus will begin cleansing the Heavenly Sanctuary ( same as happened on earth on Yom Kippur ). During this time the Anti-Christ will rise on earth. The prophecy also states that he will deceive many. This man is not a Muslim, but will be brought forth from within the Christian community. Once you see our government (USA) start to enforce certain religious beliefs, and other governments following, then you will know the time is near.
Oh, and I'm not going to get into any religious debates ... I was just trying to explain what the 42 months was. And that Revelation states nowhere that it is a Muslim.

I have read Rev. several times and i don't see how anyone takes this sort of thing out of it.

I spent a year studying it and Daniel. With a general world history book it points out who is going to take part in what.
I personally didn't believe in any of this until I studied the prophecy of the statue in Daniel - I was 100% agnostic. Now ... the more I study, the clearer it all becomes.
