Hey all,
I was curious of how to make sounds play when a hit registers in hl2dm. Dingle's video is a good example of what I'm talking about.
I'm getting tired of dying because I went to shotty someone after a magnum shot that didn't actually register
Thanks in advance :D

Keepers Headshot plugin is what a lot of servers are using for hit sounds. It's a great plugin, but obviously you'll have to get the server admins to install it.

Dingles vid includes footage from the HL2DM Pro Mod, which has hitsounds included in it.

For HL2DM, the server you are on would need to have Keeper's plugin installed:

If the server doesnt have this plugin with hitsounds enabled, you are basically out of luck.

So keeper has a plugin for hitsounds or just the headshots? (I know he has the one for headshots but is there a seperate one for regular body shots)?

Yes, the latest version has the option.

For those who don't like the headshot portion, I have a hitsound/countdown plugin that is a pure plugin (no hacks). It has the hitsounds as well as a configurable countdown timer that lets you know when the match is up. In addition, it will extend the round in case of a tie.

I also put the folders in my ftp and when I changed the map on my server and tested it nothing happened. What did I do wrong?

The Mani and Keeper's plugins are not tied together in any way. Just make sure you grabbed the non-MM version, otherwise you'll have to install MetaMod.

Besides that, just make sure the .cfg is in the hl2mp/cfg folder, and the .vdf/.so/.dll are in the hl2mp/addons folder....restart the server and you should be good.
