Edit: Valve should really try to promote this. There's tons of people out there that don't know the full HL storyline. Making the original more up to date would possible get more people interested in the story of HL and further their sales of upcoming episodes or sequels.

If, say 3 months ago, the mod was going to be released "next month"

everything I have heard in the last 6 months was that they were looking at sept-oct of this year for release.

Yeah they had an interview in march and the release date of course came up and they said that it would be finished THIS year. I never heard that it would be released by early summer.
