I seem to remember there was a topic on this on the U at some point, but the search function did not help..


Does anybody play this game? Free, cell-shaded first person shooter based on a quake engine I believe.

I could do with some pointers on the movement if anyone has the time

I don't like it... However I've Just started playing Q3 CPMA and DeFRaG, they're good

Warsow is Art of Respect and Sportmanship Over the Web

I like the movement aspect its super smooth and much tricking to be had.
There are 2 types of movement, old and new
New movement you can simply press jump and forwards and gradually get faster and faster
old you have to press strafe and forwards.
Don't forget your dash key.

yeah i used to plat it some its not bad.
the problem is "it aint HL2DM"

I'm not used to play Warsow, I'm not familiarised with Quake's weapons.

But I must admit they did a brilliant job, the game it's free and it's avaible at Windows (x32/x64), Linux (x32/x64) and Mac.

It's simple, smooth, and complete.

Gotta love it.

Finally got into QL on the 18th, it's still very buggy an not compatible with google chrome.

Things i do like are:

All maps are included and download fast. (The biggest turn off for Q3A for me was no fast downloads on servers.)
Configs saved to account login. (except mouse sens, maybe a bug?)
Nice GUI for server browser.
Friends system although I have none yet.
Stats galore.

Mouse sensitivity must be adjusted everytime you play in a different PC. Many things change it, like OS sensitivity, monitor resolution, dpi, etc.

That's probably why.
