Actually within the next few weeks each server will be set up to run a different mapcycle and/or a different mod each day. Once set up very little time will be spent on the servers.

Still in the process to determine which mods/maps our clan players and friends enjoy the most.
That will decide what is run and what isn't run. Of course things will be changed if interest falls.

I'm surprised how few players even try the various mods. I've found just playing hl2dm burns you out fast. Gotta keeps things interesting or players drop to the wayside.

i got some dm people to try out fortress forever when it came out, pretty fun while it lasted but i hardly see anyone on that mod anymore.

Just a heads up badinfluence, This thursday we will not be running the hl2ctf event because of Christmas. It will be held this sunday night at 7pm. P.S.: A lot of the mods were popular when they first came out, but the number of available servers for them has dropped. Also I find many players who have never even heard of these mods. Now it's time for those players to check them out and see how fun they can be. The more players the better. They also help with working on team strategies (working together) which of course can help your clan if they compete in CAL or other organized hl2dm leagues. I don't know about you guys but I like a variety of options when it comes to online play so we are trying to keep them alive.

I don't worry about the cost as long as there are players there to enjoy the servers and events.

Our Kreedz Climbing Server is now up and running. For those of you who enjoy bhopping and strafe jumping I think you will enjoy this mod. Check out my first post for the download link for this mod.

What is Kreedz Climbing (KZMOD)?Kreedz Climbing or KZMOD is a Half-life 2 Modification game. To play it, you will only need to have the Half-life2 game installed.Kreedz Climbing is a unique, Non-violent, puzzle-type, 3D-First Person game where the player attempts to make his/her way to the top or end of any given course, in a race against time and against other players. The game is purely a sporty non-violent twist of fun without using any traditional types of sport (besides soccer). That's good for your clan, but if I was the clan leader (just a suggestion btw) instead of waisting like 20 hours per week in mods, I would practice the real game, that's something that would really help the clan in getting better instead of playing mods. 20 hours more of hl2dm instead of mods would make a huge difference, especially if you use that to practice strats, teamplay/scrims.

Some people and clans are not just all about playing in CAL and trying to be the best of the best Confused. Some people actually like to experience different things and play different things rather than the same boring maps over and over and over.

I understand where you are coming from confused. I try to offer different mods and map theme events to break up the monotony of player burn out. I've seen it with our players in the past and just don't want players to drop to the way side if they have potential. When enough of our clan players are ready to commit the time to compete we will gear more programs to help them develop. We actually have been running Team Strategy events over the past several months and again players started to burn out from that. I'm just mixing things up for those who want to have fun and also include the players who want to compete.

Even players who have left us in the past had their share of burnout. The problem is when a player burns out too much they mostly disappear. We try to keep players around. Most of our clan players now are looking to have fun with this great game. HL2DM has been dying down this past fall. There are over 300 less hl2dm servers now then were around this past summer.

Don't think that we don't have any quality players still with us because we do. Just not enough to team in CAL or other leagues at the moment. So why not have some fun. Also our programs are open to everyone, not just our clan players. Everyone is welcome here. Come and play or not, it's up to them.
