Yeah, I have to use iTunes for my iPod. I heard you can use winamp, but I haven't looked into it.

VLC for video and Winamp for music.

Music- Foobar for its perfect rips and kernel streaming (direct soundcard access).

Movies- Powerdvd 5.1. Clean playback, solid surround sound.

VLC for random shit off the net, but never for high quality movies or music. The dvd codec causes horrible decompression artifacts (horizontal line breakup), and its audio playback is noticably much worse than most other media players, especially if its volume is set above 50%.

KMPlayer for movies. It has virtually every codec built in and amazing video/audio rendering options. Best media player around.

Foobars good, hey?
Hmmmm.

I rip cds with Exact Audio Copy with LAME codec.

I like the visual format of Itunes. I has never lost any MP3s unlike WMP.
WMP is horrible for tracking large libraries.

Is there really a difference in Quality between VLC and KMP or PowerDVD.
I can't see any diff between VLC and Powerdvd. Don't know about KMP.

KMplayer is better in my opinion, the ability to tune and tweak anything you want and then some, from a free media player is my kinda thing.

I doubt anybody would regret trying it.
