if you get a message saying:

: h++p://steamcommunity.webcv.info/ login . tournament of lot of games now

dont click it.

btw dont click that link^

yeaaaaa just a heads up for all the idiots who would click it

0nti

problem isn't clicking, but logging in.
Teto sent that link to me. Weird that a guy like him would fall in something so dumb.

GatesMcTaste

2009-01-11 21:11:48

yeah Teto sent me that link too his account must have gotten jacked or summat, there's typos on the mainpage it just look fake i mean prices instead of prizes... there are some sleazy motherfuckers in this world...

L2k

2009-01-11 21:18:43

please edit that link and make it to where it wont go thru, such as replacing the http with h++p

provost

2009-01-11 21:24:01

Well i fell for it, usually i check alot , i got the message from teto aswell, honestly i dont really check links coming from people i know from years ago unless i know theyre the type of guy to go on shady sites.

so i just click the damn thing, it asks me for login but ffs, i log in steam (the real steam) and sometime it ask me for login to do stuff like edit profile or browse through certain places, so i dont think its weird if it asks me to login, anyway

yeah its bs and watch out.

G

2009-01-11 21:30:33

yeah changed it, and i almost clicked on it too but i sent teto a message and when he didnt respond i was like k

provost

2009-01-11 21:39:54

Well since I assumed teto clicked on the link and logged on, they took his account and now from there, linked everyone on his friendlist and they rely on "its my friend i trust him" ... well that mean my account is currently being used to scam other people until steam gives it back to me. (wich i shouldnt have any problem with as i had every receipt and cd-keys)

teto sent it to me as well. its not clicking on it. when you enter your username and pw, thats where the scam is, thats waht they are looking for. all of these scams have the exact same page, why do ppl keep falling for this?

i fell for it cause i got it from confused who said he got it from conflict, if confused's acct was jacked he wouldnt know conflict would be someone id trust so i trusted confused and blah de blah fucking account is gone.

BlackRaven

you should have just looked at the link before you clicked on it... tbh people who are stupid enough to fall for these deserve their fate. Image

{EE}chEmicalbuRn

2009-01-11 22:08:17

even if you get it from somebody you trust, it may not have actually come from that person. just dont EVER enter your username and pw, ever, ever, ever, unless you are logging on to steam. steam doesnt give away free shit, they dont run tournaments, they certainly dont send out adverts for shit asking for you username and pw. once you enter your username and pw, thats it, you're fucked. it gets sent to whom ever is running the scam, they then change your pw, you now have no control or access to your account. just once i would love to catch the mother fucker that does this shit. sitting by himself in mommy's basement. UGGGGHHHHHHHHHH, this shit pisses me off.

IF you got jacked up goto steam support ASAP with like a link to your cal page or something linked online to that account.

do it as soon as possible these guys will sell you acc to hacking sites and it will get Vac'd if you don't act fast. Steam support is good about getting these back if you provide enough info.

find him and beat him up? tempting but unpractical, he almost certainly lives very far from my home. I'm just going to see what can be done to his computer, and perhaps see if i can get him arrested for something.
