Those are air intakes and they're fully functional. This is a 197HP 123 lb-ft torque motorcycle. Right now it is the most powerful production motorcycle in the World - for now anyway. I'm pretty damn excited to get this beast!keefy wrote:Thats a beast of a bike, are those air intakes on the side?

Whoa, where did you get that weight from? The Max is a heavy beast but dry weight is 685lbs. Unless you're an incredibly good driver or shed some weight off Max the Busa will most likely win in the 1/4 mile. Now from stoplight to stoplight is a different story. The Max's top speed is 168mph whereas the Busa is 200+?? I have been a loyal fan of the Vmax for many years and am currently the proud owner of a 1990 Vmax which I've owned for just over 10 years. I've been waiting for this Gen 2 Max for over 3 years now and it's finally here, just not in my garage yet. Oh well, one month to go!! Don't forget about the B-King, another worthy competitor!Bobadin wrote:star vmax 197hp dry weight 730lbs

TY, its not the best in the gas dept, if I drive it conservatively I'll get 14 around town, maybe 18 on the highway.dbanimal wrote:That's one Helluva good looking truck L2K!! What does that thing get for gas mileage? 10mpg?

I got the exact same things as well as getting the thing to reprogram the fuel and timing curves and I saw similar results which got me to the current mileage, it was much worse before. I have a large trailer and a bunch of dirt toys, so I sorta needed that power to pull stuff out to the desert/dunes or I would have gotten a more fuel efficient vehicle.dbanimal wrote:I have a 2003 FX4 Level II Ford Ranger. It's big enough to pull a 6'x12' cargo trailer with ease. My average fuel economy was 16mpg, then I added a K&N air filter and Mobil 1 synthetic oil and now I'm closer to 20mpg average. Somewhat of an improvement.
