I had a BMX up until a few years ago, it had ACS Zmags, I ended up snapping the handle bars whilst doin a big jump and coming up short landing on the transition which stopped me dead in my tracks, something had to give, that was at shepton malet, in near Bristol some at some extreme sports weekend I had to ride around the rest of the night with one handle bar.
I was never really any good, loved the vert although I never did drop in I just like riding up and don it pumping.

Those are air intakes and they're fully functional. This is a 197HP 123 lb-ft torque motorcycle. Right now it is the most powerful production motorcycle in the World - for now anyway. I'm pretty damn excited to get this beast!

Id say with power to weight ratio's in mind the Busa would be faster or at least feel more powerful.

Bobadin wrote:star vmax 197hp dry weight 730lbs

Whoa, where did you get that weight from? The Max is a heavy beast but dry weight is 685lbs. Unless you're an incredibly good driver or shed some weight off Max the Busa will most likely win in the 1/4 mile. Now from stoplight to stoplight is a different story. The Max's top speed is 168mph whereas the Busa is 200+?? I have been a loyal fan of the Vmax for many years and am currently the proud owner of a 1990 Vmax which I've owned for just over 10 years. I've been waiting for this Gen 2 Max for over 3 years now and it's finally here, just not in my garage yet. Oh well, one month to go!! Don't forget about the B-King, another worthy competitor!

Edit: I'm sorry, according to the starmotorcycles website the WET weight is 683lbs.

L2k wrote:Id say with power to weight ratio's in mind the Busa would be faster or at least feel more powerful.

I guess I can't say for sure as I have never been on a Busa or a Gen 2 Vmax (yet). I've never been into sport bikes, leaning over like that does not appeal to me very much. Now Gen 2 owners who have ridden Busa's swear that the Max will take a Busa or B-King, but it goes the other way as well. Apples and oranges in my opinion, a light weight sportbike versus a heavy weight power cruiser. I dunno. All great bikes though.

top speeds on either bike could be comparable depending on the gearing you are running, either way Im sure both would be a blast to ride and extremely fast.

I have a 2003 FX4 Level II Ford Ranger. It's big enough to pull a 6'x12' cargo trailer with ease. My average fuel economy was 16mpg, then I added a K&N air filter and Mobil 1 synthetic oil and now I'm closer to 20mpg average. Somewhat of an improvement.

I got the exact same things as well as getting the thing to reprogram the fuel and timing curves and I saw similar results which got me to the current mileage, it was much worse before. I have a large trailer and a bunch of dirt toys, so I sorta needed that power to pull stuff out to the desert/dunes or I would have gotten a more fuel efficient vehicle.

What kind of dirt toys are you talking about? Dirt bikes, ATV's?

I have (2)1977 Yamaha DT250 Enduros, a 1974 Suzuki TS185 and a 1980 Honda XL175. All old because they were cheap and they are fairly easy to maintain and they last forever. My Grandparents own tons of wooded property so I have trails all over the place, perfect for the dirt bikes. My brother bought a Yamaha 250 ATV (can't remember model) so we'll have to widen up the trails a bit for him to fit!
