weird problem with Steam

ever since I installed my new network adapter a few weeks ago Steam refuses to start on its own when I start Windows, it is in the system tray but it won't start and none of my games will start, until I CTRL+ALT+DEL and end Steam.exe in the task manager.

anyone know why this is happening?

it's not a dire problem but it's annoying.

interestingly enough, i used the little batch fix like 3 times... and now the problem never re-occurs.
