Console Command to stop d/l sounds?

what is the console command to not download sound files when joining a server?

save in a .cfg file i'm assuming, right?

I know I can force a download on people even with this setting. But I don't do it because I hate the servers with 3000 15 minute long songs.

maybe somebody else out there has figured it out.

Looks like it, it's only happened a few times but it's fucking annoying. By the time the downloads has finished so has the map I wanted to play

Try:

cl_downloadfilter "none"

Prevents all the random custom skins, decals etc that many servers have too. Just make sure you have the servers current map first.
