Is there any way to remove DRM from .wma files, I just bought a few tracks and I cannot play them on my walkman, PS3 or my car radio.

Iirc burning songs to cd as redbook audio, then ripping them back to whatever format you prefer will strip them of everything but the music.

Converting them to straight to wav or some other format that only accepts audio data might work too.

I don't know if it would require an abundance of system RAM or not, but...

Audacity should be able to do it. If you set your recording input as the Line or Wave out, you can hit record in Audacity and play on whatever media player. From there you can cut/paste/edit and save it as WAV, convert to MP3, etc.

I don't have any CD's and didn't want to waste a DVD for only 180MB. I though about using Audacity but the album is 25 tracks and over 2 hours long, I found a software that does it a similar way to using audacity except it plays the tracks at least 3x speed and can do 5 or more tracks at same time and once its setup I could walk away and leave it, it took 25 mins.

First time I ever bough music off internet for download, I won't be doing it again I would rather have a CD and then rip it myself.

Oh cool, never knew about that program.

FYI - I subscribe to Emusic, and they have always dealt in straight-up mp3 files. Their selection can be kinda hit-or-miss but I like em.

Go to Amazon for your music. They are really cheap and use the highest quality mp3's without DRM rights, so you can port it to any mp3 player or whatever you want to do with it.
