Best singleplayer games you've ever played?

Post up I need some new ones =P

The best ones I've played was Halo PC and Half-Life 2 / HL2: Ep2

I currently like Mirrors Edge.

Also: FALLOUT 3 DOITNAO

Well I haven't played that many single player games. But, anyways my favorite Single-player game is Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for the PS2. It's a kick-ass game. I haven't played Mercs 2 yet though.

HL1, HL2, Also Enjoyed the Episodes, Quake 4 SP, Farcry (the original).

Since I came onto the computer gaming scene a bit late (Graduate school and not having a decent computer kept me out of it) I have been trying to update my gaming history by finding the games that are considered those that started or significantly contributed to what we see today. I am going back to some of the older games (hence Quake 4). I also played recently Clive Barkers Jericho. It was ok. Had decent graphics but some of the minigames were annoying.

FarCry is made by the same company that made Crysis and you can see alot of similarities with Crysis.

I am currently playing the DOOM3 single player.. I just started it and so far its not bad.

Others I own but have not yet played (Yeah Yeah I know, but I have been playing DM too much to get to these )

Deus Ex (HD textures are avaiable now http://www.offtopicproductions.dreamhosters.com/hdtp/ ) The nameless mod is a Deus Ex mod and is basically a brand new singleplayer campain wich made it to my top SP experience list.

Fallout (1-2-3 ... not tactics tho) http://www.fallout3nexus.com i have 1gb of mods, the game's fucking ridiculous.

SUPER METROID ZNES is a good emulator

A heavily modded OBLIVION is pretty good aswell.

agreed on the fallout 3. fucking pointless. i spent days and days wondering around that huge ass world doing pointless missions. spent a lot of time getting money to buy weapons from the peddlers then i figured why not just kill the peddlers and take all they had. did that, after killing about 3 peddlers and 3 shop keepers i had more money than i could spend and more weapons than i could carry. everytime i picked something up i had to waste time figuring out what i needed to drop so i could walk fast again. had discovered pretty much every location in the world, oh wait, i have to stop to kill a bee. i know ill use the auto aiming system, joy. now what do i do? i guess ill teleport to a place where i can sleep, sounds like fun. oh my raidX wore off, no worries i have about 30 units cause i killed all the peddlers, or i could just go to tenpenny tower and steal everything i need again, oops i stole too much i cant walk........K, i guess ill go try and accomplish one of my 60 quests i've been given that mean nothing.......FUCK on the way to do that i was given 5 MORE meaninless quests. FUCK, what was the quest i was originally going to try and do, let me check my pda bullshit thing, oh there's that really cool suit i got, the one on the title screen, shit i cant use it cause i need "suit training" wtf is suit training, how do i get it? i dont know, i guess ill have to talk to one of the thousand ppl that are walking around cause all the convo's with them are epiccaly stimulating. HOLY SHIT, i think i just got another quest while i was looking at my pda. well ill just try and get the suit i want to wear. yes i found out that i need to upgrade my lock picking skills so i can get into a ship to find a person that can give me my much needed suit training. i need 100 lock pick points. kk, ill upgrade it to 100 and upgrade some other pointless skill with the remaining points......Kewl, go to pick the ship lock I STILL CANT FUCKING PICK IT. and it goes on and on and on like that. FUCK THAT GAME.

it fucking rocks. insane graphics, awesome weapons, really cool theories behind it. it will take you a good hour or more to get used to the third person controls if you arent used to that. but then you will truly understand why they made it third person. for some reason if you go to file planet you have to reserve the demo for this game cause it hasnt come out yet, even tho the game came out in oct. 2008. WTF? its the only SP game i've ever played where i didnt want it to end, i didnt want to beat it cause it was so damn fun.

not my kinda game I s'pose,it hasnt got that instant action...should have guessed that when I started as a sperm.....I mean wtf surprised they didnt get ya to tap space to make the sperm swim faster

Fallout 3 rocked. It's one of the best games to come out in the last (arbitrary number) six years. If you're getting bogged down by meaningless quests, don't accept them.. Just kill the person who gave it to you and take their caps. A lot of quests can be done in the same area, too. Also, power armor isn't even very good at a certain point and Lockpick isn't necessary to do almost anything. There's ways around it like Mentats, feats, the tried and true save and reload option.. That game kicks so much ass. The problem is the beginning, it's a bit slow for a lot of folks.

Fallout 3 on the PC has infinite expansions with weapons, items, quests, models, ANYTHING. Mods make the game worh playing over and over again. Same thing goes for Oblivion.

BTW I have a crowbar in my Fallout 3 campaign.

I dont think anything beats Final Fantasy 7
