Dunno if anyone heres into there eletronic music, but I came across a great little audio tool the other day.Its easy too use, just drag an instrument from the panel in the bottom left, and plug it into a pedal,amp,TB-303 and thers a couple of old Roland rythym machines in there as well.
Plus theres a simple little tool called a tone matrix, which you can use to make simple rythms and then right click to copy and then paste here.like this 0,3968,12384,16400,35848,38088,74948,74756,74756,74756,74948,38088,35848,16400,12384,3968 then just copy and paste them numbers into the tone matrix.Or if you were really cruel you could subject people to things like this 65600,32800,16400,32800,66564,0,0,1028,65536,0,264,0,65536,0,0,64

Anyway the tonematrix works a LOT better when ya add it to the hobnox audiotoolHeres a couple dream set-ups I made, and man did it sound good!!

Ive got fruity loops and it is very very good, but its not as user friendly as hobnox. But fruityloops is a LOT more flexible, and its a lot easier to save your patterns.
On hobnox atm you can save a pattern you made on the 303,and the tonematrix and thats it,Ive got my fingers crossed they gonna update it so you can save your basslines etc.
If you wanna try a pro version of hobnox download reason.Same kinda thing but a LOT more complicated. But bloody rewarding when ya can squeeze a tune outta it.

It crashed on me :( i had a top groove going but then could not alter any of the sound inputs so the newer stuff i added overpowered the stuff already in place.

holy shit mate thats pretty impressive,Ive had some monster setups and its not crashed on me yet.Even tho it can get a bit jittery when theres a lot goin on so ya gotta be bit slow when moving from instrument to instrument.Or double click on the instrument you want and it goes straight to it,and dont forget you can click to get a bigger view in top left which makes navigating a tad easier.

I downloaded audiocity but cant find the 'recor what i hear' button, does my soundcard have to support it to get that to work??

Cheers keefy, but I looked in there and I havent got that option, all Ive got is 'HD Realtek audio input' and 'Microsoft sound mapper input .Ive got an asus p5q-pro mobo, and I use the built in soundcard.Looks like Im might have to invest in a new soundcard, but Im a cheap c**t so Im gonna have a butchers on t'net for something else.

Would be really handy to be able to do it tho, cause I just discovered spotify and theres a load of music on there I want.

"What U Hear" is something you get with Creative's software for SB cards.

That explains it then.
This is what it sounded like before it crashed again.

I'm looking for a version of Reason 4. I can't torrent it since my college network is blocking them now. I'll play with this when I know I have time to spend and spare. Really looking forward to it.

Love those TB-303 I cannot stop messing around with them, putting them in series is good fun with the Tone matrix chained off or fed straght into one of them.
Decide I am going to buy an Akai MPD24 Pad Controller and have some fun with these free demo softwares see what I cn produce.

Ive had my on a eye on the KORG KAOSS PAD.Looks like a similar bit of kit,but I love the way you use this thing :o

New soundcard first tho, been looking for one with phono inputs/outputs,so I can start recording some of my vinyl. But all I can find is the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium. Its a blinding bit of kit but well outta my price range atm.......but its fricken tempting me with its goodness :D

I changed my mind after some research I think the Korg padkontrol is better than the Akai and it looks better.
