im getting it

this mod looks pretty good, funny how everyone is jumping on the L4D bandwagon. The only thing I noticed is that this mod is not free 14.99 on steam.
There is another mod out now that is free for UT3 called the hunted and basically it looks sort of the same thing. Just Dl'd it and gonna give it a go to see how it is, would expect it to be even better considering its the UT3 engine and possibly is physx capable.

i just saw that, im gonna grab that too. only thing is, its not coop per say. looks like one player is the haunted and the rest try to kill him as the enemies.

Awful. Why do they have to make those zombies with weapons and stuff? WTF.

its not a mod anymore, theyre selling it as a stand alone game. i thought the trailer was extremely crap so i dont think ill be getting it. what i like about it in comparison with l4d is that the weapons have iron sights. what i dont like is the old engine and its unrealistic and stuttering/clumsy/uncomfortable animations. am i the only one bothered by them?

Actually, they aren’t “zombies”. They are the left-over “specimens” from a cheap and dirty government program to clone soldier-monsters. The basic ones will just munch on your arm and try to disembowel you. The bigger ones were the first ones they tried arming. Nothing much. Just a chainsaw or a blade for starters. They had just got on to the chain gun and rockets when the government tried to secretly shut down their secret program.

It is the Ut3 engine if memory serves, was made by the guys that did Red Orchestra which was a ultra realistic war shooter. (as in you have to use iron sights, slow after being shot etc)

nino, if you're referring to the killing floor then you're wrong. it's a UT2K4 based mod and this is also the reason it looks so poor.
I agree with you BlackRaven, i wouldn't spend a dime on this.
UT2K4 was the first game i ever played, like you chem, and it has a warm place in my heart sort of speak but i wouldn't be spending money on anything made on such outdated engine today. I'd just play UT2K4
If you ask me, L4D pretty much topped all zombie games ever made and I would hope to not see another game / mod about zombies. L4D delivers it just fine and anything beyond / other than it would be, IMHO, overused and boring.

I agree with you BlackRaven, i wouldn't spend a dime on this.

If team fortress classic would be re-released tomorow for 50$ with a guaranteed 400 + players i`d buy it in a heartbeat and it runs off HL1 engine.

The gameplay is fantastic and nothing matches it.

UT2K4 rocks with UT2K2 only. all their mods and i believe i've gone through them all suck big time. and this attempt at cloning L4D is meh. <3 ya m8 but that's what i think

Well I might buy it since it comes with an SDK and try to get on a mod team and make a 1st person resident evil 2 mod.

L4D SDK was due to like... last christmas or something ridiculous & I'm pretty tired of anything

Have yet to see a zombie mod id pay for... this is no exception.

I am not going to buy it but not because it looks bad mostly becasue whenever I buy games off steam I never finish them, I have loads that I have played part way though then got bored with, even episode 2 I just cannot bring myself to play it from the begining again.

RO was a ultra realistic version of dod.s . bleed out had to walk 500 miles back to the fight if you died. didn't get it but bunch of people I know did and hated it. felt like crap and was so slow.

i dont wanna go into detail on this but i just played this game and its way worse than i thought it would be... even tho i expected it to be crap.

i thought the same thing last night. give it some more play time.......i think its worth the 15 bucks. they do have to fix the server browser issue and the hosting game issue tho

i didnt buy it, played it on a friends account. i couldnt be bothered to play to the end of the map that i loaded for myself in solo.
