Hello,

I'm looking for a good all around video editing software for importing HD, HL2DM videos, SD videos etc...

What do you have experience with and are happy with? Here's a list of the top 10:

Also, Amazon.com has a great price on Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 7, after rebate the price is $79.99.

So what do you guys think?

I have sony vegas... 7, i think. i havent used it hardly at all. what little i have, it seems pretty straightforward. but i have not tried a major project.

my frustrations still come from recording source demos. i can spend hours trying something that should be simple... and still fuck it up. been through holy's and onti's advice numerous times. some of those programs and instructions are out of date, and newer versions exist, requiring your own tutoring... which proves im a tard. because i still get an avi where the sound and images are waaaaay out of synch.

I used no. 8, Roxio

I've had it since before hl2dm and used previous versions for audio cds etc
It had all the tools I needed to make a video. Could have used many more features. Also I am now working on other projects with real video and it converted recordings no problem. IT does crash sometimes if you try to open to many files at once, and while I got to the 15 minute mark it was unstable using source files. Easy to use and high quality comes with audio and data programs and a DVD, video creator and many other tools.

Sony vegas is probably your best bet.

definitely Sony Vegas. you can do just about anything with it and it's DEFINITELY easier to use than Premiere despite what that website says.

d/l a trial copy of After Effects or some equivalent program if you want fancy titles/motion graphics though.
