Ive played MMORPGs before; maybe its me but I just dont understand how people get addicted to them. I get so farking bored most of the time playing them...

There is no difference in an addiction of a mmorpg or a fps or a rts. Generally the people have a addictive personality in general or do not know how to manage their time and lives. Ive seen plenty of people with 50-250 hours in hl2dm just like it can be with StarCraft and WoW. Its all the same.

i got the jist but...wow.

@para, i think hl2dm has ruined other games for me. for one thing, i wish every game had a grav gun. cant tell you how many times when i play another game and somebody knows a nade at me i instintively hit my grav gun button. plus throwing nades without cooking them in the grav gun just isnt as good. and most of all, the speed. other games just arent fricken fast enough for me.

+1 for that, Quake 3 teamplay is the fastest environment I've ever played in competitively hands down. Beats hl2dm's speed by a good bit.

Also, phantom gtfo with your crying about tf2 players and go back to your tf2 dungeon.

@cy. you are 100% correct, i meant to write MOST games arent fast enough. quake is deffinetly not one of them. other games of slower speed are fun, i am just SOOOO A.D.D. that i lose attention very quickly.

I'm an old Quake 1 guy myself, so I know what you're talking about. When I first started playing HL2DM I thought to myself: "I really like this game, if only it wasn't so slow". Since then I've learned a thing or two, so that's really of no concern anymore
