Just before i got a small lil update for css hl2dm etc on steam just one of those random tiny ones you get every now and then. Now in css and hl2dm i get this debugger that pops up and it doesn't fully load:

Its happening to LukeGT as well after he closed his game as i was talking to him about it, anyone else getting it?

[EDIT] also happening to quite a number of people now

It appears to be the same error message. However, others have updated and not experienced any problems. Does anyone have any more information on this?

Seems they have some debug binaries out there. Just click ignore all asserts and go on with the game. And I get this dialog each time I test a plugin. So I didn't notice it until somebody asked me about it. :D

doesn't work for me, i have to alt tab once i load hl2dm and then the message pops up, when i click ignore all asserts and alt tab again its just a tiny little rectangle about 4cm x 2 cm up the top left hand corner and wont expand.

Ok, then add a -allowdebug to the launch properties. That should do it.

Should be fixed soon as it affects CS also.
Someone suggested removing -heapsize from launch options worth a try i supose.

i was getting that too last night. i x'ed out of the assert boxes each time. game seemed to work ok afterwards. but i did have to do it on two separate occasions.

Me either, probably because I don't use the -heapsize command.

I don't have -heapsize and it still appears. The only launch option I have is -novid to remove the video at the beginning of launching dm. True closing it is easy, but for people like deathwish, he has to randomly click all over his screen until he gets it to close D: BTW, I wonder what they actually updated with the source engine, aside from adding those debugging binaries. Anyone know?

yeah for me it was weird the box didnt popup so my screen was completely blank the only way I could see it was when i alt-tabbed but then when i clicked ignore it would crash my game when i tried to get back into it, so the only way of getting around it was by clicking randomly in the middle of the screen.
