yeah, this movie is sick. Very good flick.

yep listen to them this movie is a must watch , when my 68 year old english teacher said it was badass i realized it had to be good then . She said this was the first time she has ever rooted for the aliens in a film . I saw it 3 times in the last week and dont get tired.

first 25 minutes of this movie look like rubber cockroachers and stupid humour.. but then omg

That's too far. Don't describe any of the other awesome weapons, for the sake of people who will watch this.

And yes, it was really awesome seeing the GG being used.

wow just seen this today and was really impressed. What a original idea I was thinking of watch The Inglorious bastards but I heard some good reviews about district 9 and thought to give it a shot and was not disappointed at all.

I was a little apprehensive about the dorky main character. That was sure put to rest quickly.
An amazing movie, THE ONE where all that CGI is looking real for the first time.
I watched it and Frailty yesterday and they both stuck in my head.
And Inglorious Basterds sort of sucks.

It's more like a comedy to me.

it was a pretty cool move, and it totally reminded me of hl2.

there were a bunch of chunky people, only thing hl2 is missing

1st, you and english should never be together in the same sentence, second its clear your a nerd if you watch one movie 3 times in a row.

i watched it yesterday and omg so good, even for a short movie...very intense, and obviously the GG part was the best xD

got to see it today, and I can say its the best movie I have seen in the past 2 years or so.

Not to people who are into Sci-fi, this was likely one of the best Sci-fi offerings in years. Definitely enjoyed the things that made connections to the HL world as well. Glad they left the door open to making a sequel, hopefully they do.

District is good in the way it leaves lots of holes to think about. Were the aliens abandoned there on purpose because they were scum?
Where is the crew of smart ones?
Why does the fuel turn a human into a prawn?
The weapons? Why didn't the aliens ever use them to break out?
Why were a bunch of Nigerian gangsters allowed to operate in the District?
What happens after the end?
Lots of questions, no answers.
Abortion, Apartheid, Zenophobia, Racism, are all seen here, before it becomes Mission Impossible

The second half does fall down a bit a sinks into a mission/action deal.

Basterds is typical of Tarantino. The bits are brilliant, the SS officer and the Jewish girl. BUT, as a whole, its a mess.
And ridiculous.
I really thought it would be more about Pitt and his bunch operating behind the lines and it was not, though it is advertisied as such.
