Hi all

I now have a hl2dm server for all my custom maps.
Special thanks to Kc | Fyckfaco, and [BCC]htjackal for
recommending pluggins/support and pluggin testers.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the info. Sadly I dont think you are going to find many takers from this realm. If its not caverns, lockdown, lost village, lostarena or airfusion, then most people here wont play it. Sad, but true. Good luck with the server.

I like to think that the community here is a little more diverse than that, just not nearly as vocal. I could be wrong though.

All I can say is you don't know till you try.

Yeah my maps have secrets lol...
Also the server is very stable I have not crashed on it.
If you want a change from the same old maps and don't want to crash, see you there!

I would too WT, but experience has shown that, by and large, it isnt the case.

Not being negative Nino, just reflecting reality. I do sincerely wish him the best with the server. Running a pub isnt always easy.

The fact is that the people here by and large do not play maps other than ld, lv, la, cav, etc. I have seen it happen time and time again in both my own and other people's pubs. Put caverns or lostvillage on and the server fills up, put anything other than the aforementioned list and the server empties out or you have a map other than those listed and someone comes in, plays 2 minutes and says "OMG this map sucks change it to *insert map name from list here*" and when you dont, they leave anyway. Just the way it is. Yes there are a few exceptions to that rule, but they are just that: few.

There are people in the game that will play other maps and I am sure he will get a following from that sector because I have seen that there are people that do enjoy and like Mike's maps.

Not an opinion, more like an observation. The server is in London, probably a good choice of location. Euro players may be a bit less fussy than N.A. players.
