I think my PC is shot.
Even when i'm just sitting on desktop, it seems to be laggy when typing and using my mouse.
Maybe it's overheating, but I don't know the problem.
Could the sound card be doing this? (My reason for saying this is when I'm in DM, when an rpg is fired, it seems to lag because of the noise.)
Can you diagnose my problemo?
Thanks

Judging by your description Bad, I think your infected by a key logger.
Use Spy Bot Search and Destroy, its a free and highly reliable spy ware detector, you can find it with a simple search on Google.
Post your computer specs, and some other useful information ( ie. when did the problem start, so forth )
If your confident its not spy ware, open up your case, blow some of the dust out with compressed air can, take your ram slots out, and replace them back it ( Does a world of help some times ), same for your graphic card.
Update all your drivers ( Chip set, graphics, ...)
Post results.

I already ran Spybot.
I'm thinking it might be over heating, because when I shut it down for 2-3 hours then restart it, it doesn't lag. Then when I start up DM, it starts to lag.
The problem started today when I exited out of HL2CTF.
I'll try to get out the dust later on tonight.
Thanks again.

Overheating is a good possibility. Do you have anything installed for monitoring CPU and other temperatures? Perhaps your bios has an option like that. In one of my systems I have an ABIT motherboard, I go into bios and select PC Health Status (or something like that) to check temperatures.

that sounds like when i had a shitty motherboard, the usb ports would act really funny and the mouse would lock up and lag for a few seconds, and everything was slow. It was under warrenty do i just got a new one problem fix'd. But i have had lag problems b4 and it was just dust.

If it's overheating, is your case fully closed? If it is, take the side off of the case, that's what I had to do as mine was overheating when I first built it. Yea there's more dust, but nothing some compressed air can't take care of outside.
