win 7 lag

maybe someone here can help me. i recently installed windows 7 and i have gotten really bad choppiness and ping spikes while ingame. :|

What mobo do you use?

I'm thinking you might have to flash the bios if it isn't win7 compatible.

no problems here and interestingly enough w7 unlike xp etc doesnt have any half open connections check in here though loads of experience these guys have been with w7 since the start http://thewindows7site.com/forum/ hope this helps

Could it be a driver problem? Check windows update for network adapters it ususally has them.

lag is caused by your internet connection not by your motherboard bios :sketchy:

get rid of all unnecessary background applications and if that doesnt help then its your connection.

But he said it's because since he installed Windows 7 which leads to think that it's the OS for some reason.

i had the same problem in css and dm, only thing i did was wait and it fixed itself

If his mobo wasn't built for vista/win7 it could cause problems like this. We know it's the connection...
