From what I read the MP is going to be implemented much in the same way MW2 is, also there is a leaked beta version floating around on the warez sites if you want to check it out now.

I played the first game online ALOT and I can't stress this enough... BEST MP I'VE EVER PLAYED.

You just can't find somene that says either predator, marine or alien was the best class... it just depends on who you are and how you play. But to succeed you must master em all

I'm a bit skeptical about how fast the gameplay will be compared to the old AVP. Everything keeps getting noobed down.

Team Fortress to Team Fortress 2 has to be one of the worst.

Yea, I thought that at first too, but even though there is no Tau Cannon and Super Jump, hl2dm is still almost as fast paced to me now. I'm thinking aim arena vs crossfire...

MP modes

-Deathmatch/TDM – Supports up to 18 players, with the goal being to rack up the most kills.
-Infestation – This pits a squad of marines against a single-player-controlled alien. As each marine is killed during a match, he will respawn as an alien until there’s just one last man standing.

-Predator Hunt – This is where you get to play as a group of predators hunting a sole alien. You’re given a short match time of three minutes in which to kill the xenomorph and rack up the most kills on your team.

-Survivor – This is the updated Skirmish mode where you’re going after wave after wave of increasingly different and difficult Alien AI. You can do that in a four-player co-op.

You guys say games nowadays are slow ... imho CoDMW2 gets pretty fast when you have marathon lightweight and know how to do strafe jumps really well.

i never played the first 2, but i'm almost positive they had dedicated server support, and Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley in the video below said he was amazed that people were still playing the first 2 online, so they probably do have dedicated servers.

I'd recommend for anyone who wants to experience how it's gonna play and get use to the key config, get AVP2 demo, I doubt the controls will change dramatically from avp2 to avp3

I did a lot better than that on my mates 360, so its no excuse. I can jump from the highest block in quarry near the tower down to the railing instead of taking the down ramp, on 360.

I have no idea how this game would work but im a huge fan of aliens and predator. That beep noise on the commando monitor still scares the living carp out of me. But I am kinda stuck between getting this or battlefield bad company 2. Right now im leaning towards BC2 main reason is it the sort of game I am familiar with plus me and most those who bought MW2 have grown tired of it (everything in it is designed make you play like a noob and rewards you for it). Another thing is the graphics on AvP3 is amazing and im not too sure my rig is going to handle it too well, yes I could turn down the settings but I hate not getting the full experience out of a product.

The PC version works for me.
I found it quite atmospheric playign as a marine with the heartbeat sensor clicking away then it start bleeping when an enemy is near makes me sweat lots.

Its an obvious console port I cant seem to find a way to turn mouse accel off ad the only thing even remotely to dowith mouse sensitivity is the Xand Y axis for the controllers

Matchmaking is totally broken on the PS3 version.

Yeah we don't really understand why they'd release a demo console port for the PC, altough they confirmed a matchmaking patch was on the way and people will be able to HOST, Create and Join lobbies, and use regular server browsers in the Gold version.

Also we'll have all the stuff the PC game should have, and, without the stupid console melee auto-aim noobness

Yea with so many games coming out, I have a hard time keeping track of which will have what, etc. For example, Mass Effect2 came out 2 weeks ago, Stalker Pripyat, Bioshock2 comes out next week and AVP3 the week after. Its a cornocopia of new games!! I started keeping a list of the ones I was interested in.
