I'm glad to hear things are looking up a little...I hope the bleeding stays stopped, that's a great thing to hear.CrazyBruts wrote:A little good news...The internal bleeding seemed to have stopped. They are gonna keep him sedated for a couple days so he can heal a little without everything moving around in there. They are gonna do the dialysis tonight sometime when the doc gets in. We asked about his legs and they said we aren't to worried about his legs right now we just want to keep him alive. So there is hope and things are looking a little better. Thanks

Yes so true. I guess he was fine all day and this just came on at around 6:30 that night. He started getting pains in his legs, then a little later got pains in his stomach and back and started sweating. So he sat on the couch and told his mother he wanted to go to the hospital. When the ambulance got there he couldn't move his legs. Anything can happpen anytime you never know.Paradox wrote:Amazing how sudden this seemed to come upon him. This just serves as a reminder how quickly something can happen and take those you care about out of your life when you least expect it.
Cherish those you love, move beyond the petty arguments and remember the good times and what is really important before it is gone.

I did some research on ripped aortas and it looks like it mainly happens due to a spike in blood pressure, usually from weight lifting or intense workout! This is how John Ritter died. He was trying to lose weight and was working out like crazy, he started feeling sick then the chest pains came. Doctors ruled it food poisoning when it turned out to be his aorta. This is freightening to hear, usually when I have time I will try to lift weights at home and I usually push myself until I almost have to drop them on the floor!! Was Mike into weight lifting? It's possible he may have been lifting something heavy at home that could have caused it as well. Very sad whatever it was.provost wrote:This news saddens me as much as it intrigues me, I wonder what on earth happened to himether wrote:Sorry to hear that. Have they found an underlying cause?
