If so its because of a plugin used on either.
ES or wateva it is, is the easiest to crack, and mani i have heard can be exploited, but not sure if thats still the case.

Oh, and also, sv_cheats 1 and ur out of there.

seems you don't need any plugins to get hacked. just have sv_allow_upload 1 and they can get in just fine

If it is, like I was trying to say in the other thread the LUA based server scripts can compromise the server with even sv_allowupload_1 being off.... Of course Valve doesnt recognize the biggest source engine security loophole in years as being a "serious problem" yet.

Yes, I am 99% sure the exploit was the sv_allowupload 1 setting. The first thing this hacker does is edit your client.txt file so that he is the only one with admin.

Actually lua can only bypass clientside commands, etc.
So u can speed hack, wall hack, be an annoying douche, but u cant hack a server with lua/lss, atleast not alone.

I never meant alone. LUA/LSS is typically for games paired with another script/hack...

Holy has convinced me to become calm Va|iums, no more a raging alchoholic bird of prey Va|iums. So calmer Va|iums will explain in a courteous way that LSS/LUA are scripting methods that are directly designed to hide hacks and aid scripting. Think of them as scripts on steroids, and that this steroid acts as its own masking agent to hide the presence of even more nefarious other steroids (hacks) from detection.

Also what you didnt see is that Zeik linked people in the HL2DMU b4 mass deletion to a LSS aided wallhack, so basically a SCRIPT + HACK in one. I'm sure if hes on your friends list hell glady PM it to you, as hes been doing that for the past 2 days it seems already because he's a real class act.

Don't think of these scripts in the traditional sense of scripting in a .cfg file (which is pretty much useless in hl2dm anyway). Think of it as a way for someone in a server to have sv_cheats 1, while everyone else has sv_cheats 0.

Cierto....its other primary use is an agent to hide other hacks/scripts simultaneously from anticheat clients and VAC2.
