help with a game pick......

im looking for a medieval type RPG(castles, dragons, sword play). relatively new, say 2006+. NOT point and click, and if possible not that "hack and slash" shit.. perferably not MMO, but i can live with it if it fits the bill. anybody got any suggestions?

Oh man I bet THIS is what you're looking for, fits the whole bill.

Demon's Souls, medieval action rpg. Although made by japs and little dialogue, has some awesome gameplay. Also a very hard game which is rare these days.

Unfortunately, it's only on the PS3, so if you don't have one, you're SOL.

Game was epic. So was Dark Messiah.

i own DMMaM, but i only have played the MP. the SP is good? i dont have a 360 but i do have a PS3, i have considered demon's souls b4. Darksiders was awesome,played that on the PS3. i see its coming out for the PC. not sure how thats gonna translate to PC. i would highly recommend it for PS3 tho.

Dark M<essiah is pretty good, there a few ways to play the game eithr be hack and slash or be a wizard type and also your decisions do create a different ending.
I have had the game since release in 2006 ish and only just got round to finishing it, I enjoyed it.
Few anoyances with the game are every enemy says the same things in the exact same voice perfomance can be poor especially the first scene on horsback into the town.

I'd like to play that game again. I have all 3 campaigns, and that expansion that came out after Nightfall, but I don't want to have to go through learning all the builds and shouts and attacks and all that bs. It's a damn fun game when you have people to play with.
I might reinstall just for shits and giggles. My characters should have a bunch of birthday presents to open.

I have all three guild wars plus the EoTN expansion too =o.

PvP has gotten pretty stale but like you said it's good with friends.

Yeah, I have them all except Eye of the North but it gets kinda boring unless you play with other people or like a guild.

i played a lil of the demo for guild wars, im liking it. i think this is pretty close to what im looking for. they didnt have a demo for nightfall, but i read some reviews and watched some game play. i think NF is even more waht i was looking for. that would be cool if we could all play together or something. im guessing you guys are very high levels tho. how would that work? my experience with MMO games is very very low. but from the demo it doesnt look all that hard to get used to

Just get on a warez site and download a bunch of them to test out and see if you like them lmao

I think I have 8 or so characters, and I believe 3 of them are leveled up. It doesn't matter though, we can go anywhere in the game and give you a hand. It doesn't take long to level up in GW. You will have an easier time if you do most of the side quests to get to higher levels before you go for the harder storyline missions. They can get monotonous, but if you're going them with friends they're harder and bring more lulz.

Fair deal, amazon is where I got my copies but that was long ago, there are new sales for the package as a whole iirc.

Just make sure they're a legit seller. If they send you the disk and not the account info, it's useless.

You cant get them pretty cheap now. It is a pretty good game, Ive been playing it alot lately, just finished the Factions Campaign and working on parts of Prophesies, Nightfall and Eye of the North that I havent gotten done yet.
