tape decks are dead as they will not stay shut, other than that its still going strong. It has also been used as a bass amp for several years.

I just have a splitter cable coming from my sound card now, so if someone is watching something with me then I can just turn the4 stereo on and put it on aux other wise I use my headset.

@ BI: Nope Im right handed. My mouse is on my keyboard shelf with the fang. Its more comfortable to play that way for long periods of time

@ Chem: Yea but the thing is you have to remember to hit the start button which I almost always forget to do. Its better than hitting the timeleft command in the console though cause I just have to glance at it so its much faster.

just bind timeleft and scoreboard to the same key.

My new desk doesn't have enough space for my 2nd 25 inch screen The camera made the 2nd screen look blurry & I was too lazy to fix it.

LoL, I didn't pay for the headset, but retail for it is $300. Yea I know, holy crap. I got the money from a free offer site and and used that to purchase it. Otherwise, there is no way in my right mind that I would pay 300 bucks for a headset. Thats just crazeh. But it really works, you do have to sacrifice a lot of bass to hear footsteps and I have mixed feelings for it about listening to 2.1 audio for movies and music, but overall, if you plan on going pro for a game that supports surround sound, then this headset is the way to go. Directional positioning is amazingly freaky. It works best in 1v1's 2v2's or 3v3's on large to medium size maps. I can hear if someone is behind me most of the time (if I don't its because my ears are ringing from a grenade or something) I can usually tell if someone is above or below me, its worked great in MW2, I'm only a level 13 and I was able to get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places on some pubs using the headset. I was called a faggot hacker. Now if you go on socal server for hl2dm and you have a bout 15 noobs all around the map blaring the smg it is harder to hear exactly who is behind you or around you because the sounds are playing all around you. But it's directional positioning with having wave guides playing sounds past your front right, back right, and having 2 bass speakers, etc in the cups really helps and gives you the feeling of someone is close to you. And if you close your eyes you can literally hear where they are.

I had a friend put them on and she had never tried surround sound before so she really didn't know what was going on. So I told her to close her eyes and I then threw nades in different directions and she was able to pinpoint where they went off with her eyes closed just by listening. Without a doubt I'm glad I have this headset, I had some trouble with it the first few weeks because I had enhancements turned on with my sound card. I turned them all off and put everything at the default level and it totally changed and I felt like I was INSIDE the game. Someone shot an rpg off on a pub at me I dodged it and I FELT it go past my left ear, I almost ducked. Really freaking awesome.

If you are trying to go pro at a game, get this headset, if you are listening to music or movies and just want to experience a game, DO NOT get this headset. I recommend ONLY for people who are SERIOUS about league play. I'm still testing out this headset on a TON of games so I'll come out with a more in depth review for it in a few weeks in a video on youtube.

My headset is good for games like that too, steelseries 3h. And nice clear quality.
And it gives the option to use 8 channels which works good for everything.
Probably not as good quality wise as yours but its 7.1 which i prefer over 5.1.

Ahaha. I used to have onboard sound, but my videocard for some reason decided to be a dick and overwrite the drivers for my sound card. And then the drivers will not reinstall, tried every driver. But w.e. I can hear surprisingly well anyways.

Wow, some very awesome rigs here!! I currently have 4 PC's running. One for the kids, one is running my dedicated server and is used ONLY for that, one is my main gaming rig and the fourth is data storage/gaming. I also have a laptop which I hook up to my DVR to record HD shows. Nothing special in any rig though!

Yesh I'm sporadic thinker and type shorthanded broken sentences all the time, the sentence is meant to convey you all have it easy with your setups nice roomy space with area enough for a chair with possible back support a place to put your mouse if you decided not to use a mouse pad etc. As for the grayed out item its my little sis's fish graveyard with brown walls a few protein bars and some papers thats literally how i play though with that chair arm for my keyboard and the portion of the cushion that wraps around the arm for my mouse and that is mai sandal there

my setup changes monthly, simply because of the things i end up using more and things i buy (usually getting a new piece of hardware every month or two). Im purchasing a new computer soon and hopefully will be getting this http://www.roccafortesales.com/ to be its home. its a sick desk and it'd house my desktop and other gadgets quite well. WHEN this happens ill post it, but for now the only changes in our basement is my desk is cleared and my computer is propped up on a stand behind the desk itself to provide space.

I had my old tower on the floor for a few years and it collected a lot more dust and was just harder to get to things. Having the tower easily accessible makes life a lot easier on me. Easier to vacuum the fan intakes on the outer part of the case as well

I wanted to have mine on the floor but there was simply no good way of doing it, ontop makes things easier also.
