Looks pretty legit, should help increase traffic no doubt! You been working hard and it seems to be paying off!

nice work Dal. hopefully it will make some money from adverts and you can finally get some monetary reward for all the hardwork you do for this community. one suggestion, and if you did this already and i missed it i appologize ahead of time. in the map descriptions you do a lil write up about each and how many players its suitable for. any plans on making map packs that contain a player range? example: mapPack.S(2-6 players) would contain only maps that qualify for that range. then users can grab individual maps or a map pack. this would be really nice to see since its hard to find that option, or atleast it was when i was running a server.

Yea mappacks, or continue adding the maps as they are, just add a Suggested Players categorization so you could find maps based on suggested players. Either way though, not a bad idea.

Main page is much improved. Am I blind or is there not a forums link of some kind on the main page? I also registered to the forums and have not received a confirmation via email . You guys planning on making the forums black like the rest of the site?


Update: I found the forums link after clicking the HL2 image. The forums link would be better as a tab on the main page.

1. Map packs sound nice.

2. Provost is working on improving the main page with tabs for forums.

3. Forums are still in beta stage, not sure what Isaac has planned.

If you could have some kind of search option or advanced search option for finding maps... because there are many good maps and it might be hard to find one that your looking for specifically.

(Sort by date added, map released, rating???, player suggestion, theme etc.)

if you really wanted to be ballin, allow users to query off different map stats. i think you can embed an access database for this. if you need help writing access queries i certainly do that for you

Yes a search is always good and will be needed as more maps are added, its not too bad now with only 6 pages though and make it so the prefix (dm_) doesnt have to be added to the search term if possible.

Do we need to re-register with the new forum? I can't login and when I try to select "Forgot Password", enter in my username and email address it says "The e-mail/username information submitted could not be found."

Da11as and I don't have that much detailed knowledge of databases. If you could do this for us, that would be super awesome. I consider this a community project to be improved upon by members of the community. Hit us up and we'll get rolling!

not a problem at all man. i could rig up a really nice searchable access database for ya. Conflict, you know how to embed an access database into html code? i know it can be done just never tried it before.
