The main reason I bought a PS3 in 2007.

hey mate. think i already have you added on my ps3, im praying my copy has arrived when i get home in a couple of hours. Ill get cracking no the install then. not too much distance between as as well so latency wont be too bad.

I just got this today, and have been pretty hooked always been a fan of GT! It's quite a nice relief from all the dm I have to admit...

You get a free car for your Birthday and depending on the year the car varies.

create a new user.

2 create a fake psn account with today as birthday and 1944 as year. Email can be fake.

3 add your real account as a friend.

4 log out of fake account, on to real account and accept request.

5 log back on to fake account and start a gt5 game.

6 get free car for your bday

7 go to community, click on real account, click gift, and gift the free car you just got.

8 go to ps3 home screen and delete the game save data for your fake account.

9 repeat steps 5-7 until you are bored

10 log into real account, accept gifts in community, sell the cars and pile up money.

1944 gives you a vw that you can sell for 75k
1967 gives some nicer cars that can't be sold
1979 gives you a crap car that isn't worth your time

I used 1944 as birth year and did this about 4 times then bought myself a Lotus Carlton I found in the used car lot.
This is the car form 1944 its shit but sells well 75,000

I wish there was an easier way, pretty much a big hassle to do this a couple times! You said repeat a few steps, but is that really possible? Also, I seem to be stuck in the Sport Truck Race because I have yet to see a truck for sale anywhere...

I noticed the lack of the VTEC sound kicking in when the car reaches 5500RPM there is no sudden increase in engine induction noise which is where most of the Isound comes from in a VTEC engine.
On the real life counterparts the induction noise is noticable with standard factory fitted aifilter induction but when has a sports/racing induction kit fitted its exreemly loud I know this becasue I owned a 1997 EK CivicVTI the one pictured below.


The sound they currently make ingame is more like the sound when revving the engine stationary or when flooring it when the engine is cold doing this makes the engine sound very tinny and raspy and crap.
To my knowledge Its been like this since GT3 (maybe even earlier) but back then I never owned a VTEC engined car and I never played GT4 due to PS2 breaking and me becoming a PC gamer so had no reason to bother about it.


1st how VTEC works so we know why it sounds like it does.

Listen to what it should sound like. I do not have a recordign of how i sounds ingame but if you own a Civic Type R which i bet most do you can test it out your self.

I just purchased the 320GB PS3 with Move bundle. I've been looking into getting GT5 but the prices are a tad steep at the moment. I also purchased GOW3 for a damn good price and will play that for a while.

So feel free to post up your most prized cars with specs ect. Might as well live vicariously through you since my friend chose not to buy it and I don't own a PS3
