now see, if i'd known sooner i could have rage quti sooner. :x

for the folks too lazy to watch the demo...

just drop a nade next to any ammo crate (with the lid). switch to crowbar and continue on your merry way. when the nade asplodes, you will get all the goodies in the ammo crate. doesn't matter how far away you've managed to hop.

tig offers a unique double exploit. kneel down in the hallway corner outside the rpg room. roll a nade through the wall, switch to crowbar, nade rolls next to ammo crate... kablewie blammie... you got 3 orbs.

It's not dead. The community is gigantic, almost too big for me at times and very impersonal and immature. Playing competitively is not very hacker friendly especially in ESEA who supposedly owns the best anticheat client in all online games.

The problem with your perspective is you're operating in the trashbin area of the community, the lower eschelon with open kiddies who do scrims off client and think they can get away with hacking by artfully disguising it. Once you start to scrim against main teams with proven LAN experience on ESEA that most everyone knows doesnt hack the picture changes. The game is not a bore and its not easy, if you think it is I could get anyone here a spot with me this weekend and scrim some invite or main teams, I guarentee you won't go positive no matter how many scrims we play. Yes there are hackers in the main and invite level who shell out $500+ a year to bypass ESEA but they end up getting blown out on LAN and make excuses for why they did so bad.

IMO learning the strats like say, when only two smokes are thrown mid it might mean a double fake to A to make the middle man early rotate. If 4 smokes are thrown it either means a complete fake or a complete rush, or an antistrat 2-3 default ect. That shit interests me.

Did I stutter?

Think of it like how you became involved in the competitive community and began to slowly criticize all the bitching and ridiculous suggestions from the pub and killbox community. "CHANGE GRAVITY, REDUCE NUMBER OF ORBS, MAKE SPAWN POINTS SUCH AND SUCH SO THEY CANT SPAWN KILL, SPAWN PROTECTION, NERF BUNNYHOP". Shit like that, theres levels of worlds in gaming communities, we've all forgotten we're not the only ones with different dimensions of gaming competitiveness.

Scrimming from sourceinvite with offclient cheaters who are 12 is about 1,000,000 dimensions away from scrimming on LAN against an invite team in front of 200-300 people with admins checking for cheats who've all been playing together for 5-10 years that have 15 strats a map memorized down to seconds of when to smoke, flash or push their awper to peak.

Edit; Actually seagull would know about dimensions of different games, he went from a hero in hl2dm, to a somebody in TF2, to a mediocre nobody in SC2.

The Argumentalizer

It's just weird that on a DM forum, you propose his perspective is a problem.

Nobody here is bitching about CS on CS forums.

Uhh ok? Did I hit a softspot there old man winter? Since NutriGrain has scrimmed with me in CSS against terrible teams some of which were never even in a league or played in shitty pubs with him I know what his perspective is, its not what the higher tier community is like.

I don't see how its elitist either, its the truth. I don't wobble on down to Ghost Dog's local killbox server and tell them I can run their shit better then they can. They do their own thing with 600 grav and standing still and aiming for 5 seconds straight to point at a head, because I don't really care about it, nor do I want to care about killboxers. Except for panic, and only because he's funny to listen to when he's all heroined out in KB.

Dude, css as a whole is the lower eschelon. Simply because of the limiting gameplay, very limited speed, very limited as far as strats go. And slow targets obviously makes aiming easier.
CPMA is the ONLY game i know of worth a mention as far as competitive play goes.

Heres a demo worthy of a watch if u have cpma.

Do you go to LANs with your team members and compete for money while 400 spectators watch you? Because unless you do, which I highly doubt, your perspective isn't much better than mine. And you don't need to shell out 500 big ones for cheats that bypass ESEA. I know programs that cost only 60 - 80 bucks that will allow you to hack in anything.

Also, do you even know what a Ghost Dog is?
Nope nope and nope. Nobody knows me, and I know nobody except a few people, I will probably never get to invite before the game really dies out. What I have been doing lately is scrimming against main and invite teams on client, and doing pretty well. The last time you scrimmed with me was like 6 months ago, I've gone through 3 teams and have improved to the point my awp is faster then most main kids since then.

I can upload a demo of dropping 27 kills in one half on ESEA if your interested/don't believe. As far as not knowing what the top tier is like, at this point I'm both ringing for and playing against top teams now, albeit getting raped but I'm starting to see what its like way up.

@ghostdog don't go starting em0 vs ewR, we've always had the same objectives, we've never truly played eachother in league and you don't know how our scrims went, and I'm not about to share.
