Web Browsers Golden Year

Internet Explorer 9 is awesome. It takes full use of the size of your screen, its fast, simple. Pretty much like Google Chrome. And its an standard browser. HTML5 compatible. Almost forgot, you can run it in 64bits.

Mozilla Firefox 4 is awesome. New GUI, same good ol' Firefox, highly customizable, secure, with tons of add-ons and plug-ins. Unike. HTML5 compatible.

Google Chrome is awesome. The lightest and fastest of them all. If you have a netbook you know what I mean. Easy to use, simple and almost takes full use of your screen. You can sync your settings, themes, cookies, etc to your Gmail account so you can have the same browser anywhere. Awesome.

Haven't tried Opera but I have Mini Opera in my BlackBerry mobile device and it's awesome too.

What do you think?

Chrome just doesnt have the alot of the plugins I use in FF so I don't use it and I cannot find where to change things, there doesnt seem to be many options apart from the basics.
FF4 Is good but doesnt support all the plugins I use.
IE9 I have not used and don't know where to get it.

Opera is dope, Firefox has lots of cool plugins but never crashed so much, Chrome is alright,
IE9 is still a disaster, Flock is useful if all you do is look at your linkedin, facebook, twitter, forums, e-mails all day long...

In the end, Every browser speaks to a different market, all of them browsers out there are cool.

Except IE, shit should've died in a fire a long time ago.

I can imagine the awkwarness of the IE meetings at microsoft when they had a constant, non-stop decrease in usage over 10 years.

I love me some Chrome.

http://www.html5test.com

From best to worst:
Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR :D

IE9 is a disaster, and it barely supports HTML 5.
Firefox is okay, I used to be a bigger fan.
Safari runs everything in one process. Shitty, especially when you have multiple up and one crashes. POOF all gone.
I've never given Opera a chance.

Chrome though, is just fucking money. I haven't found anything it doesn't run correctly, and fast.

These things change all the time, Google may slack in the future and their browser may start to suck balls like IE has.

The Frenchman says IE9 alters sunspiders testing data. The Frenchman knows.

i'm using Chrome on xp 32bit. gifs play at normal speed.
IE is proly the crappiest browser ever. FF is great apart from the fact it hangs a lot and hogs the computer. shame.
didn't find anything that comes close to Chrome.

Firefox + Adblock Plus

Wouldn't change it for anything.

FF5 crashes a lot for me and when it does the restore tabs/windows function doesn't work it just hangs there doing bugger all so I have to end the process then restore them manually.

I figure I'll leave it for a while, and if I start to get these crashes I'll go back to chrome.

I have loved Firefox for a long time. It does not play nice with Netflix or Macromedia Flash Player.
It has been crashing quite a lot lately.

Maybe i need some Chrome.

Do it. Might feel weird at first coming from FF, but Chrome is a beast.

I downloaded Chrome, opened it, saw a plain scabby cheap looking browser with nary a button anywhere and closed it immediately.

I will probably delete it.
A 10 second look was enough to turn me completely off and run back to the FOX.

Yuck. What a cheap waif-like downscale zero of a browser.
I don't care how fast it is.

Chrome's text looks better I have noticed since my old monitor broke and now using this shitty 15 incher from 2003 that its more noticeable. In FF they have that crappy blurryness around the edges of most letters, some are worse than others it makes it harder to read and not a nice experience.
It hink I will do the Chrome sitch since FF6 has broken 90% of the addons I used and jsut when 1 of them was not long updated to work on FF5.
Wankers.

You can turn all the buttons on and add a bookmark bar to it just like FF.

It looks like crap, grainy and cheap. Plus, it's Google. They are probably tracing everything and selling the info to advertisers then donating millions to Obama's re-election. Fuck that.

Whenever I open up chrome I get at least 100 'chrome.exe' instances in the task manager. Sure it runs great and I like to use it for a few things(like html5 viewing, it runs smoother in chrome) but I find myself still using firefox for random browsing in general.

As for the text comment earlier, I dont see any difference between the two browsers, maybe its the monitor or text display settings in windows aren't calibrated for the monitor.

All in all, Something just puts me off about seeing chrome.exe invade my task manager I guess I prefer the shenanigans firefox pulls.

Each tab is a seperate process so if that tab crashes for whatever reason it doesn't crash the whole browser.

chrome has consistently been the hardest to hack at defcon etc...Id go for that every time :humble:
