All that talk about us being too lavish and we find him in his Pakistan home worth $1,000,000.

The town is Abbottabad, google earth shows it is a very small town, you can clearly see the neighborhood he was in. There is only a handful of houses big enough to be worth one million US, neat to look at.

I suspect it was here,

They describe a custom made compound with a military garrison nearby...

No pictures anywhere near there either.

No I'm way off, they say 35 miles north of Abbottabad that's much farther north than that, everything is way more spread out there, place is bigger than I thought.

Ok check this out, remember a few weeks ago when Geraldo went A-Team mode in Lybia and started bossing around his own rebel platoon? Where has he been since then?

I think it was his crew that did this.

Just like Sadam's case all over again.

Hussein is said to have been hanged in public and the ONLY VIDEO we got was something filmed with a mobile phone, straight from the blair witch project.

You'd think something of that importance would attract photographs and the likes, i call bs on this aswell.

Sadam's still probably around. Bin laden too.

Well as a political geek I should let you know no actual picture of his dead body is yet to be released, the White House will likely release it "soon". The two most famous fakes are one from 4chan 2 years ago, another is a more a recent fake from the movie "Black Hawk Down".

I thought I'd let you know I've Jihad it with Allah these Osama jokes! (credit to another guy)

Valiums you're exactly right, these photos go nowhere without being declassified and this is about as classified as it gets.

Some news station said they would show one soon I knew it was a lie, way too soon it could be a week it could be 20 years.

{EE}chEmicalbuRn

2011-05-05 15:47:43

their second in command's corpse photo were out right away. as well as sadam's sons and sadam himself. why would the number 1 most wanted photo's not be? and they quickly baried him at sea to comply with their tradition??? are you fucking kiding me? since when do we comply with their traditions? thousands of american's lost their lives in burning buildings, crashing planes, and at war, and we bury him at sea out of respect? i dont think so, something stinks

Ghost Dog_TSGK

2011-05-06 00:36:24

The discovery/death of Saddam and death of "Chemical Ali" were both standard patrols doing grunt work as usual, the assassination of Osama Bin Laden was a direct order from the President and executed by SEAL division six.

This is not yet declassified, we buried him at sea in an attempt to follow their religious beliefs and stay on the moral high ground as a simple show of professionalism. Even though we got it wrong it's supposedly the thought that counts.

To consider that our body of government would risk faking this, the perfection required for such a coverup and the potential backlash and defamation following a failure to enforce a coverup of this magnitude seems highly unlikely.

Ghost Dog_TSGK

2011-05-06 00:54:37

Let's consider the logistics of a mission failure followed by a coverup.

Osama Bin Laden clearly has access to the internet, and the ability to speak on his behalf through media bodies (I assume nobody will reject publishing an official Bin Laden tape) why then would he not jump at the chance to shove our foot in our mouth?

He would love nothing more than to bring such a scandal into light, how would we have convinced a radical Islamic self proclaimed prophet to keep quiet? The usual suspect is money, Bin Laden is and has been a billionaire for the duration of his entire life, even if he weren't there are more than a hand full of supporters to his cause that would have funded him regardless of intention or request.

The man is dead, he was a tactical fool residing in Abbottobad unless of course he was allowed but that's another story, I believe the man felt more comfortable with his freedom, I compare the years ranging from 2001 throughout 2006 when he was releasing videos from minute cave systems that littered a mountain range (be it Afghanistan or Pakistan that's irrelevant) to our discovery that he had taken refuge in a mansion compound in a wealthy Pakistani City, my hypothesis is he felt less threatened when the Bush administration dissolved the committee in charge of his uncovering.

Bush also stated that Bin Laden was no longer the figure of power he initially was and shouldn't be considered the threat he initially was during the start of the "war on terror" campaign, I believe Bin Laden had above average intelligence but not to the point where he could grasp the reach of our intelligence agencies.

tldr We took too long and he got careless.

I think the Dog found him.

He truly redeemed his character and mystique. Well played contest.

Agreed.

Btw, I think condecorating SEAL Team Six for that, it's an insult for the rest of the SEALs who have tons of risky missions like rescueing captured soldiers in enemy territory and stuff. They were 4 or 5 un-armed guys in a house. Gimme your equipment and I can do that lol.

Ghost Dog_TSGK

2011-05-09 23:08:22

I doubt division six was looking for praise, you know how hopped up the media gets.

I recently learned that seal team division six features all branches of military not just the Navy as I assumed. Neat, I still haven't seen proof of this though.

The Argumentalizer

2011-05-10 01:23:30

There is no Seal Team 6. All members of Naval Special Warfare Development Group are SEALS and therefore Navy.
They have there own base at DAM NECK Fleet Training, here in VA Beach. They are not part of Little Creek and SEAL TEAM 2 (Seal Team 1 in Coronado CA).

They are, along with the CIA, solely tasked with hunting ALQida in Afghanistan, and Delta Force tasked to Iraq and elsewhere.
