Anyone else take a look at the Duke Nukem page on Steam yet? Preordering is now available.

Also the game has relatively low system requirements.

And its 10 gigs in size.

I am skeptical, mainly because i saw the videos of ppl playing it and it seems quite slow and average. Granted it might be fun for just another slow game but maybe it was just the that they had dudbads playing it with console controllers.

If nothing else I will be getting it for the lolz.
Whats up with that first access club thing where you got it when you bought borderlands, I haven't heard anything else about it.

''we were snatching up weapons and bunny hopping like mad while trying to snag as many kills as possible. We were only occasionally thwarted when someone would either pick up the golden Duke statue (which doubles your damage output with any weapon) or steroids (which makes you more resistant to damage and makes your melee attack--a punch, rather than the mighty foot of yore--deliver almost-always fatal damage). We also picked up a couple of pipe bomb kills by tossing the items like grenades; interestingly, these weapons now explode on contact if you can tag your target with a direct hit.

After playing through Dukematch, we jumped into Team Dukematch ... ''

I for one plan to have fun with this game. And the huge size of the download file leads me to believe theres gonna be a long campaign as well. Oh the one liners...

Oh and for good measure, just gonna leave this here:

Another thing im a little worried about, this is made by the same ppl who made borderlands, and while that was an allright game.......borderlands mouse input was horrid, and it didnt even support anti-aliasing.
So am i gunna have to put up with rough as guts aiming in duke, might seem like a small thing to some ppl but wen ur trying to pull a simple shot and ur crosshair skips pixels which just happen to be somones face or whole body at a distance then u know, its really raping ur enjoyment level of the game.

Thats just nitpicking before the game is even out. Sure, its the same people but the game was basically taken near-finished from 3D Realms. And Am I wrong to assume that its probably a different development team from the Borderlands development team?

Its unreal engine and a few unreal engien games to my knowledge thesedays have shitty mouse support Bioshock an Bulletstorm I know for sure do so for Duke to be unaffected by good mouse support will surprise me.

A few?
Every console ported game i can think of suffer shitty mouse input implementation.
How many of them are unreal engine games, i am guessing a lot.

In any case, its just sad.
Also it would be nice if games these days would make use of rapture3d =P.

I think, Duke though, judging by that mp vid will be decent fun atleast, so im in......i think.

To my knowledge as of writing that.
after thinking a bit hard (I had to take a break I felt dizzy afterwards) Bad company2 has shit mouse support too the mousewheel is classed as an axis so its impossible to bind 2 seperate actions to it other than "next/previous weapon"

I recall bad company 2 had negative mouse acceleration, to avoid this u had to turn x and y sens up to max and use a low main sens.
Yea, that was pretty shit.
