if it's anon, it's out of control.

normally anon, almost in a serial killer ritual kind of way, sends a message along with the attacks to reinforce and pass their messages.

In this case anon fooled around with sony's name and quickly went all defensive when the name arose.
I don't think it's anon, this looks like a database rape job, wich russian are pretty fucking good at.

ISO thread/post/source of anon claiming the attack pls.

I'm with provost, the whole thing sounds like Russians.

And this latest issue is just a result of PSN having a shitty password reset system, not hackers. Normally a company wouldn't shut down services from something like that, but they're under a lot of pressure from the press after all that just happened.

Anon has no set leader or fixed group of people. So essentially it could be someone doing it and claiming to be a fellow anon. Anyone doing a DDOS attack can claim to be an anon. So weither it was orchestrated or not. It still falls under what they do, denial of service. Them getting framed is another possibility. Much like conspiracies, probably wont find the truth unless they get caught.

Here's my theory.
Sony did a bad job protecting their shit. Russians attacks, anonymous claims the attack.

Why - Russian side
Them russians are behind alot of hacking security companies, software etc... they basically create the need for their own market. Making hacks that the software or service they sell can protect / get rid of.

By showing Sony's incompetence to protect their shit sucessfully, a company (owned or ran by russians) will probably step in fix the whole thing (reinforce security + simply stop the attack) and tada - another big client in the pocket.

Why - ANON side
Anon saw an opportunity to become feared. Since there's no real leader, it's pretty easy for anyone to claim ANY attack in the name of anon - Sony isn't something small.
Anon also used this as a display of power and as a recruitment call. Bunch of kids will want to know what the fuck happened with their PS3, and they'll prolly find out about ANON, potentially joining them since their software (LOIC) is a no-brainer to use and it gives them kids the feeling of being part of something big and powerful - what most of them seek by playing games in the first place.

Anon is probably responsible for the attack on the law firm dealing with hotz case, but Sony? don't think so.

Anon is a pile of complex laden followers that manage a funny picture twice a month mixed with a handful of code breakers. They all take credit for it though every time there's a hint of a breach.

Didn't make the team at an early age or something.

It's nothing personal, but i don't see why you keep making these big informative posts when
a. No one is asking for them
b. the stuff you're saying isn't particularly in-depth or in-the-know.
