This island got its shit fucked damn well by that thing when it was a babby hurricane. Nothing to take lightly. Get the fuck out of its way.
Was without power from early(2am) Monday until today in the afternoon. The rain lasted until yesterday, 3 days after the storm had passed. Luckily not a lot of destruction due to our concrete houses but we got way too much rain. WAY too much rain.
Dont try to ride this out. This is literally the storm of the century again.

I'm still waiting for the Yellowstone volcano to erupt/explode and totally kick our asses (at least those of us close to it).

Shit, Katrina, a low Cat 3 wasn't that bad and it did the most damage ever on the Atlantic side.
In fact, it is in the Top 5 disasters behind The Tsunami.
Floyd was a Cat 3.

Thankfully more cement than trees here, even though I'm sure central park will get rocked.

This storm was about wind. And it keep moving. Gaston was heavy rain and stopped ontop of central va.
