Jobs had serious game. There isn't anything media we touch that wasn't affected by him. 317 patents makes a gigantic impression. Jobs was an exceptional mind, business, and computer geek. And i mean exceptional.

When you take a company from a garage to rival Exxon in stock value, you are a superstar.
I believe Jobs is a huge loss for everybody, even if we aren't aware of it.

Apple invented the Ipod device.
Also MP3 stores.
And drove Windows to better OS.
The Ipad, and Apple computer.

I remember an Apple 2 before any PC was available. My school had one.
No windows, no IBM.

Impact is definite.

This video is extremely influential.
I've watched it 4 times.
The fourth was last night.

Also, doesn't seem like the "youtube" feature is working, I put the video url in.

Apple slave shops, Apple Lobbying, Apple tracking your every move without disclosure and handing over to the highest bidder..... Fuck, go look at the apple 1984 mac commercial....pretty symbolic dontcha think?

I enjoyed his speech...Other then that... Maybe wasting away isn't so bad.

This. Competition. It's naive to think that you're unaffected by Apple even if you've never touched a Mac and iWhatevers.

Just think of if Microsoft never came out with the XBox. Nintendo would probably be able to afford to be so anti-online and Sony's services may be even more rubbish. Online console gaming may have been a complete joke. (Oh Charles, but it already is!) And... you're right. We may actually still have FPS games for the PC that aren't dumbed or watered down in some way...

I digress; the point is that Steve Jobs had a huge impact to all of us (since we're not living in caves). Be it by directly using a product, or using a product influenced and competing with his own.

That being said, lol iPad. I don't get the appeal of it? Then again, I'm kind of ignorant about what it does/n't do.

I remember back when he gave his speech about how doctors told him he needs to get his affairs in order due to his pancreatic cancer...until they did a biopsy and found the tumor could be removed by surgery then he was good to go! What's sad and scary at the same time is he still lost the battle...he was never out of the woods.

I was never much of an Apple guy, I do have an iTouch but only because the company I work for bought it for me, but as others have mentioned, he was a huge influence to todays technology whether you like it or not and who knows what our gaming experiences would be like today had he never existed?!?!

So, seeing how popular some people become after their death for inventing coolshits - I gave it a go.
Hopefully everyone will see me as a creative mastermind and will be remembered for decades after my death.

It's a shame few people know about ritchie's death, when he was as or more influential than Jobs.
