Sorry if this has been asked before or if its in the wrong section.
I've been wanting to make some custom weapon skins (specifically .357), but whenever I add them, the weapon ends up silver, or very bright in certain lighting. When a light is right above or to the side, the weapon looks great, but at pretty much any other area of a map, it looks silver or faded. Ive seen many tutorials, but none have said anything about this problem.
If someone could give me some tips on how to improve what I'm doing, or how to start from the beginning, I would very much appreciate it
Notes: I edited with Paint.net.
HDR Lighting is not on.
I edited over a custom sheet that I've been using for a while. (Can be found here: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/3967)
