I 1st got into the whole HL business in about 2002 when i borrowed a PC off a friend that had some spare bits lying around it was really just to go on t'internet but i installed HL1 on it, I had to delete loads of stuff to get it to fit becasue the HD was only 1GB 
A year later i got a proper PC, tried HL online thsi was when steam had just been released so i had to update to latest version on a 56K modem 
it took all fooking day. Just as i was starting to get good and know the movement and sucjh Valve released some Game called HL2, you may have heard of it? Soon after release i found out about mods tried hl2ctf and prefered it to dm so played that for 2 years, now CTF scene is all but dead so in 2007 I joined [S-UK] http://www.thesanctuaryuk.co.uk/ we may suk but we dont swallow
