Hello... it's [MF] POMP...and OMG! I am a girl...

Ha! I was told to post something at HL2DM, sssssssssssooooo here it goes...

Been playing for about 8 months, my first FPS, my first multiplayer experience, my first online game .. haha.... Got real busy right away at 3 months of playing I became admin at one server and decided to start a CLAN that represented our righteous side of "Skill over kill", started working that and stopped training, clan got real busy and I almost stoppled playing all together. I just started training again in the last month, we are forming a Cal group in [MF] Misfit Force, I am hoping to eventually get good enough to give it a try but I am not even close, some of my guys are getting there.

I am real proud of our clan, it's a great group of people and hope that our cal bound group makes some waves soon!

I know quite a few female gamers, and it's no big deal really. Hopefully you can see here most of the guys are just joking.

I've been in CS servers when a female comes on the mic. "OMGZ a gurl!" Yes, it really is like that. HL2DM I haven't seen too many issues.

I would take those peoples advice about not using voice chat in css. It can be bad.....real bad lol. at least it was back in CS 1.6. Unless you pwn, then talk all you want cause then they can't say shit. Getting pwned by a girl in css/cs carries the same stigma as being beaten up by a girl lol, so theres some motivation for practicing, humiliate those loud mouth fucks lol.

For the msot part hl2dm isn't like that at all, at least in my experience. We need more female gamers in the world. Frag on!

I just got my Death Adder yesterday and love it. How do you like it? The differenc between the DA and a stock mouse was like night and day for me. I was gonna get the saitek, but I decided to splurge and get a Lycosa, which rox my sox off. I can't even imagine gaming left handed, now that you've bought the DA theres no going back lol. Hope you find some time to play with that crazy schedule.

Nah.. it's all good.. I am a heck of a lot tougher than this BS. Being a girl in DM is the least of my worries, I am not someone who will just fade into the background to please others. I have met great people in the DM community both online and in person, there is good and bad everywhere.

I may start CS under cover but it will not stay that way, I have nothing to be ashamed of, remember "Silence is conspiracy".

I love playing DM, hope I love CS just as much, hope I get good enough to go to cal.. and if I don't .. hey , at least I tried. For now I concentrate in training and having fun.

So far I love the death adder, today was my real first day trying to get use to it, I am actually having more trouble converting my left hand to hitting buttons.. I am not so sure about the keyboard, its fine but I am having a hard time telling where the buttons are) was using a (zpad) which I actually have gone back to at least for right now, we shall see

UPDATE: I had to return the deathadder, it became painfully obvious to me I was not going to be able to switch sides and that is really well designed for right handed people, it's ok I am getting another razor that can be used with both and if i ever feel the bug again, I will try it.. i found out that i could use the mouse with either hand no problem is tapping keys that was simply impossible with my left hand.

I know I know .. been busy ... but I am here now and happy to be so..
I am seriously thinking of taking a little break from being a clan do-it-all-cuz-no-one-else-doz and taking some time to practice and get my skills in better shape, the mouse switch has been difficult to say the least and I still have tons of issues, my hands being to small to reach all the buttons in the mouse and the necessary buttons in the keypad, it's an eternal task .. looking for that perfect combo..

Either way.. I gave in, treated myself to the orange box, b'day is in april so close enough and I am going to be playing some other games which I think will give expand my flexibility... maybe before I turn 80 I will have all of this figured out!

It got off on a tangent and you guys threw it back on track.

While reading some forums... I noticed that you guys were asking how do you play with a ballmouse.. Well.. I just switch to the regular mouse (as OF COURSE you alll know because you have actually BEEN reading the thread) from a trackball and I am having a hell of a time converting my movements to a regular mouse, the benefit I can see will be my jumps, so far I have been jump retarded because of the mouse situation .
