Hello, my name is Mordecai Walfish and I'm new to HL2:DM. I was referred by some of your members to come here after having issues with shady servers/admins as is documented here:

I look forward to playing with you guys, but I think I'm going to take a bit of a hiatus for now as this whole ordeal has left me wanting to do something more productive with my time than play HL2DM. It's a great game and everything, but I'm thinking I'll probably just get back into it if/when I get the orange box and play Half Life 2's single player and episodic missions. Cant wait to try team fortress 2 as well, I used to play the original in Quake 1, around the same time the first release of Rocket Arena came out... man that was a boatload of fun!

Just wanted to thank you guys for the support and suggestions while I was dealing with those KAT clan guys and their zombie-like followers on their server. I'll miss eviscerating them many times a week, but I look forward to DMing with some decent players when I get back into it.

yeah don't play on that server anymore, it has to be the lamest server I've ever played on. I mean, their tagline is "over 300+ people banned" - what a selling point!

on behalf of the community I'm really sorry that that was your introduction to this game - keep playing, but play on good servers with mature people. I recommend the MF, Khaos, MIA, HCC, FF, 911, OFC, DH, and redlight servers, among others that I can't think of right now.

PS if you're an old Quake player you'll really like this game, and you'll pick up on it's mechanics really fast.

Only those who break the server rules, get permanently banned.

The rules are linked through the MOTD, are also on their webpage http://www.katklan.com, in their forum, and appear as in game text on your monitor.

Also, once a troublemaker is banned from there, his/her steam id / ban list gets shared with other servers and clans. This list keeps getting past onto other clans & servers as they come on board. Dont think its just being banned from just one clans servers, it is serveral, and it is growing.

We already found a forum member who is on our ban list was already on anothers clans banlist for being the asshole that he is. So therefore, it makes sense to share our lists.

Have a nice time playing with your self. Perhaps while playing with yourself you can listen on a old Roy Orbinson song called "Only the Lonely". LMFAO!

There are barely 380 people that play this game anymore, if you keep banning you will be the one listening to Roy Orbinson
