ok well i go into vdub and i have it se with audio on but everytime i watch the clip the audio is out os sync so am i doing something wrong or skipping a step?

If you are watching a massive file that is not yet compressed, it could just be you cant play it back. Try compressing one with xvid as a test.
If your settings are off, there is a setting in vdub that synchs the audio with the video perfectly. I will post it when I remember where it is.
EDIT: Go to video -> frame rate. Select the option that says "Change so video and audio durations match".
This will synch it perfectly every time.
also if u recorded in something DIFFERENT THAN 30 FPS, it will be out of sync.... you need to set the quantity of fps u recorded at on vdub.

tried to do all this again still didnt get it to work and i wasnt able to check that one box

that box is ghosted for me, im having this same issue, recorded at 90 fps and i want to output from vdub at 30 still so its slowmo, but the audio is still norm speed...

nvm ill just do slowmo in vegas
yeah just record at 90, and later slow down the audio in vegas..
