When you fire a weapon, like a mag or an ar2 c-ball, there is a "fire" animation.
When you do a demo smoothing, is there any command to remove this? Cuz it's pretty annoying =/

are you talking about how the screen shakes? that's impossible to avoid :/ one suggestion... if you're a really really patient guy... put the demo to a really slow speed while exporting and try to counter the screenshake with your mouse ;o

no...I know that the recoil can't be removed. But that's not the main issue.
I wanted to remove the fire animation seen on some weapons, for instance the fire after shooting you see with a magnum, or the "blue beam" you see after firing a c-ball ( or even shooting the ar2 normally). That animation :P
I believe that "fire" is called Muzzle flashlight. There are some commands like "muzzleflash_light", but didn't work.
Tim0z tried to help me, but we couldn't find anything. Briggs asked j@nek from hl2dm pro mod, he gave me some weird programmer-like shit that also didn't work.
I guess I'll just avoid doing recams when I see this animation D:

are you using virtual dub? you could try to delete the tga's with the jumping/fire animations

you would end up missing some of the footage, because the time it takes for the flash to go away is too long..

There is a method of re-skinning the muzzle flash
