This is a weak spot for me. I can never get it to work quite right, even if I try to follow the tutorial step by step.

Has anyone here mastered this stuff?

same here :( I can't get it to work for me. If anyone wants to simplify the steps for when the camera is stationary that would be great.

Don't know how, but I had already seen that video :p. Nice work posting it here though, it will really help people^^.

I have managed to smooth some demos, and make some good recamming, but I remember having some problems with the set view feature when I did it.
I dont know if it is bugged or I just used it in a bad way :? , lol.

Yeah the demo smoothing is buggy. I've been working with it for about 6 months now and when you set a key frame (a position for the camera to follow along a path) the height of your view will never be true with the final result, meaning its always off centered on the Y axis, so you have to adjust and try a few times.

If you're jumping during the demo smooth, when you go into drive, the screen will bounce, a good way I found of getting rid of this is deleting the frames that jump when you extract through console, the frames are fast enough that its not noticeable and looks far better than a jittery camera.

EDIT**: Here's a site that got me going: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... 95735e3e59

More frames eh? Hmmm ok, will try that.
